I'm here today to promote an artist that I've been following for a little while now.
Since I've started following them, they've improved greatly, and up is the only place for them to go.
What I'm going to stress, though, is their ponies.
Oh my freakin' gawd, the ponies.
Now, when people do fan art of MLP, it's almost expected that it'll be in THE SAME STYLE AS THE SHOW.
IT'S ALWAYS IN THE SAME FLIPPIN STYLE AND I'M SO SICK AND TIRED OF IT.
I understand if you like the way MLP:FiM looks.
I get it.
But... at the same time... how are you going to prove that you're flexible as an artist?
Okay, so you've drawn a pony in the style of MLP.
Great.
You've proven that you can do a style that is different from your own.
Stop.
Don't do another one.
Do something different.
Show YOUR personality as an artist.
Develop a style that you have taken from many different influences and create your own.
How can you improve on something when it never changes?
That is where
rises above the crowds.
Xenon has been able to implement her own style into her pony works, and that...
...that's just awesome.
Give this artist a watch if you're in to ponies, folks.
Hell, just give Xenon a Watch.
Why?
Because outside of ponies, she does really great work, which is to be expected from an artist that is broadening their horizons by not sticking to the same style.
